What are you most looking forward to at Ludlow Food Festival?
Being back amongst all those passionate foodies. We did the show from the very first pilot in the market square and stayed with it for the next 20 years! Besides it’s still the best Food Festival.

What’s your top tip for seasonal produce in September?
Herb wise there is still an abundance of most things and as it’s preserve time so make the most of flavouring up your standard preserves with the edition of French Tarragon, Grapefruit mint and Lemon Verbena added to your base jellies.

What’s your best food hack/top shortcut? e.g. freeze ripe bananas, learn to use a knife properly
Always tear fresh Basil onto your salads leave off the knife! It can bleed too much & become discoloured.

What’s your store cupboard essential/the one ingredient you couldn’t live without?
Our own Home grown dried Tarragon so very versatile when the cupboards almost bare it turns a basic dish into gourmet dining.

What’s your current favourite recipe?
Home grown Edible flowers, Salad & Herb leaves gathered fresh from the garden dressed only with lemon juice and a little seasalt. All that’s culinary heaven on earth in a bowl, beautiful and delicious.
