Wardington’s Original Ludlow Gin launched at Ludlow Food Festival in 2018, so this year’s festival marks the distillery’s third birthday. It seems fitting, therefore, that they are our headline sponsor – demonstrating the power of the festival to support local food and drink businesses as they grow and flourish.
We spoke to Master Distiller Shaun Ward to find out more …
Ludlow is famous for food: passionate producers, characterful bistros and restaurants and, of course, the epic food festival. Ludlow Gin was born from my passion for Ludlow and my passion for hand-crafted gin.
The 2021 festival will be an opportunity to celebrate our third birthday; we want to also celebrate our ongoing relationship with Ludlow Food Festival. During this year’s festival we are planning to launch our extended range of products – Ludlow Vodka, Ludlow Whisky, and Ludlow Rum – as well as our new website and to mark the acquisition of John Villar Wines and Ludlow Distillery which now join the Wardington’s Original family.
We love collaborations, and we want to celebrate some of the wonderful brands we have worked with over the last three years, including Radnor Hills – Heartsease, Extract Coffee Roasters of Bristol and the Craft Gin Club.
Ludlow Festival is the perfect place to celebrate our achievements and look to who we can grow together with over the coming years.
The Wonderful World of Wardington will certainly be igniting this year’s festival. You can enjoy the Gin Palace, shop for Wardington’s fine spirits and wines, partake in a gin workshop or fine wine tasting, read their exclusive Gindependent Newspaper and win big with incredible prizes being given away all weekend.
