Plenty For Kids Too!

This year we have so many exciting things to keep your little people happy whilst visiting the Festival - from hands on cookery classes to musical madness in the Castle. Not to mention a delicious chocolaty themed day at the Ludlow Assembly Rooms on Saturday 10 September.

Kids Cookery

We are joined once again this year by the fabulous KidzKitchen and Grow Cook Learn who offer FREE children’s cookery sessions inside the Castle. KidzKitchen sessions can be booked in advance here.

Grow Cook Learn offer drop in sessions so they will be first come first serve over the weekend. Grow Cook Learn are celebrating 30 years of the ‘discovery of the Mammoth bones’ so sessions will be them accordingly! Drop-in to decorate your own mammoth biscuit or have a go at making edible mammoth droppings! Get your discount voucher to visit the mammoth skeleton and marvel at his awesome size.

The KidzKitchen guys will be enticing children with their Roald Dahl Revoluting Recipes for the weekend. Their sessions are as follows;

Friday 9th September
11am - Wonkers Crunch Surpise

Saturday 10th September
11am - Wonkers Crunch Surpise
1pm - Giant Peach Cheesecake
2.30pm - Mr Twit Gingerbread Beard

Sunday 11th September
11am - Wonkers Crunch Surpise
1pm - Giant Peach Cheesecake
2.30pm - Mr Twit Gingerbread Beard

Youngsters can get their hands into the mixing bowl and enjoy messy foodie fun. Parents can also watch – making sure they pick up plenty of useful tips!

The ladies running the sessions will be baking buddies Tracey Cooke and friends who have teamed up to pass on their culinary skills. They aim to encourage children to develop a taste for cooking and healthy eating by  experimenting with recipes, including unusual but wholesome ingredients such as beetroot and courgettes in cakes.

Spring to Life

These very cool musicians perform children's songs for education and fun. As seen on "Something Special" series 10- BBC Cbeebies, their songs include Down on the Farm, Wonky Donkey and Recycle King! Let your little ones also enjoy playing the ukulele and join in with the sing-alongs.

POTTERY fun for everyone with BAMBINO BIZARRE

Have a go at creating your own decorated piece of kitchenware.

CHEF ON STILTS and his crazily amazing circus acts ...

Join our very own Chef on Stilts to entertain your little ones during the weekend.

We have teamed up with Slow Food to create a foodie adventure of discovery and sense enhancing stations! Make sure your children pick up their Sam the Snail passport so they can collect the adventure station stamps along the way. For extra bonus points visit the Harper Adams Stand for some edible bug action!

AND last but not least our scrumptious CHOCOLATE day at the Ludlow Assembly Rooms and the chance to WIN a trip to Austria for a Chocolate Factory tour .... click here for more details of how to enter!

This year we are working very closely with the Ludlow Assembly rooms to ensure we get as much going on as possible. So we will soon release the full timetable of actvities for this great addition to the Ludlow Castle.
