Pay at the castle entrance: cash or cheque with valid cheque card only.

Friends of the Festival have a card entitling them to free admission throughout the weekend (more info).

Admission includes entry to the whole area of Ludlow Castle, including, in the outer bailey ...

  • Food & Drink Fair with more than 130 independent food and drink producers and suppliers: real food, ale, cider, perry, wine and more from the Marches, with samples and tastings (some free). List of exhibitors
  • Demonstrations and talks (admission free, with minor exceptions) - see appropriate pages - Full details here.
  • Precious Earth stage, featuring a sustainable kitchen [more info], with stage for demonstrations.
  • Ludlow's Twin Towns in France and Italy will be displaying produce from their regions. (France only on Saturday and Sunday.)
  • Outside Food Vendors - a wide variety of quality hot and cold meals, snacks and drinks to suit all tastes.
  • Competitions being judged - Pork Pie of the Marches, the Ludlow Cake, and more.

LUDLOW SAUSAGE TRAIL
Britain's most amazing food event, this year we have a new guest butcher at the Corve Street Fringe

Start from 9.30 am to 2 pm Saturday only: Tickets (£3.50 each) available on the day (only) from the Festival Box Office near the entrance to the castle.

The Feathers Hotel restaurant, noted for its dishes featuring rare breeds of meat, presents a special grill menu created for the Festival.

SILK TOP HAT GALLERY
Quality Square (off Castle Street)
Exhibition of Etchings by Anna Ravenscroft. Also Garden and Indoor Sculptures by David Howorth from the 8th September.

WINDOW DRESSING COMPETITION
As you walk around the town centre, look at the many shop windows displays that have been entered in the Festival's window-dressing competition, indicated by the presence of a Festival competition card and poster. The winners will be announced on Friday morning. The People's Choice! Vote for the best window display - pick up voting forms at Festival Information Stall.

WAITERS RACE NEW CONCEPT
Saturday, 3 pm by the Castle.

First prize is £100 and a free trip to Ghent in Belgium. To take part in the International Waiters Race - this year you first have to race round the twon square and then your professionalism is tested to the utmost when you try to satisfy some very odd customers in the shape of the Old Dic Theatre Company, who have yet again temporarily escaped from the Bull Hotel. THE 1ST LUDLOW WHISKY FESTIVAL
The Old School Rooms, Ludlow College, Mill Street. 12 – 7pm, £12.50, £5 per masterclass
We are very excited by this new addition to the Ludlow Food Festival which promises to cater for whisky enthusiasts and novices alike.
