Find out what Miranda's Preserves has to offer at this year's Ludlow Food Festival...
Miranda's Preserves has been run by Anita & Richard for the past 6 years from their 5star home kitchen at Ivy Cottage in the Brecon Beacons. “ We are a true cottage industry”, says Anita, "preparing & cooking our preserves in small batches, stirring them by hand, bottling them by hand & labelling them by hand! We took over the business from the eponymous Miranda, who started the business in Pembrokeshire back in 1995."
"We love to work with local businesses in local communities”, explained Richard, "and we have a very soft spot for Ludlow. Local designers The Visual Works undertook our re-branding and we have built up a special relationship with friends at the September festival who seek out our stall each year."
This year Miranda's Preserves are delighted that their award winning jam marmalade & chutney can now be found at Broad Bean in Broad Street, Ludlow. The Evans family have just taken over this fabulous local deli and have been keen to source affordable, high quality products sourced from local, artisans. "It's a perfect blend of two family businesses with very similar ethos”, says Anita. "We wish the Evans family every success with their new venture and are sure our products will sit well on their shelves - but not for long before they are snapped up, we hope!”
