We love the fact the the Fetsival has a continental feel, whilst still promoting and supporting local businesses and producers. In today’s Meet the Producer interview we meet Ian Rowley from French Flavour. If you have a passion for French food then look no further that this wonderful business.

Tell us in 140 characters what readers can expect when they find you at the Ludlow Food Festival?
Ludlow Food Festival falls at the perfect time of year for us, as our best seasonal produce has just arrived from France, garlic varieties, shallots, onion strings and lots of other goodies including a large range of saucisson.
How did the business start?
13 years ago with alcohol fuelled prompting from French friends who also happened to be producers.
Have you got a favourite product? Why?
Violet Garlic Strings, we look forward to their arrival from the farms each year, this fresh, powerful garlic variety signals the start of the French garlic season!
What is your best-selling product? Why do you think this is?
Smoked Garlic, the aroma, the look and of course the taste is just amazing and we have customers anticipating its arrival for weeks in advance.
With all that has been achieved in your career so far, what are you most proud of?
The proudest moment was one of the least impressive, it was selling out first item, a jar of tapenade at our first food festival 12 years ago and thinking, Hmmmm, you know what this could work!
What are you looking forward to most about the Ludlow Food Festival?
I love the buzz of the crowds at Ludlow, it's a different foodie audience to other places, it's our best event of the year as people seem to really appreciate what we’re trying to do. Also can't wait to get another fillet steak from Great Berwick Organics who only do a couple of events each year, but their steak is amazing!

Favourite Colour? Green
Favourite Food? Thai believe it or not!
Favourite tipple? Vin rouge with some creamy blue cheese
Favourite Restaurant? It's a farm shop in north eastern France called Vergers Ateliers, they sell the local tarte au maroilles with a glass of biere de garde….delicious and simple!
Hobby? Eating and chatting!
Favourite place to visit in Shropshire? Love the Shropshire hills and I've got the blisters to prove it!
