The Centre of the town is open on the Friday so please be aware that there will be traffic coming through the streets. Ludlow has a host of fantastic independent businesses that are well worth a visit and we would suggest that while you explore this medieval towns you pop down the little alleyways and find the little gems hidden away.
LUDLOW FOOD & DRINK FESTIVAL inside Ludlow Castle with more than 160 local food and drink producers and suppliers: real food, ale, cider, perry, wine and more from the Marches, with samples and tastings (some free). Admission includes entry to the whole area of Ludlow Castle.

WINDOW DRESSING COMPETITION
As you walk around the town centre, look at the many shop window displays that have been entered into the Festival's Window Dressing Competition, indicated by the presence of a Festival competition card and poster. The winners will be announced on Friday morning. Which is your favourite window? We have a list so you can see all the participating shops, available from the Food Festival Information Stall situated near the castle entrance.

While we don’t finalise the list of chefs who will be appearing at the Festival till just before the festival. We can promise you that the calibre will be amazing. You can look forward to a full day of entertaining demonstrations by a selection of the country’s finest chefs.

Come along and get an overview of their brewing prowess and the ingredients used to make their award-winning pints. If that’s not enough you’ll also find a mini fringe festival around the brewery, with half a dozen stalls.

FREE at 3pm meet by the cannon outside the castle. Take a walk with Liz from Forage Fine Foods (she also has a stand inside the castle) and see what goodies you can find in the hedgerows around the Castle grounds. This lady can find a whole meal from weeds - amazing! The walk will take about an hour and is informal and very fun!
