This year the popular 'Chefs Table Restaurant' returns showcasing the best of Marches produce, serving dishes influenced by some of the finest chefs.
Set in the castle's Garden Area, the restaurant will feature its premium hot and cold buffet, offering table service, fine regional wines and sparkling fizz, so you can relax and enjoy the view,, whilst enjoying produce from the surrounding area.
The 'Chefs Table' will showcase some of the region's best local produce, in dishes created by some of the finest chefs. Operated by the Lion Hotel, Shrewsbury, under the capable hands of Moroccan Chef Mbark Jabara, jointly with James Day of Gourmet Life Dining Club.
James Day comments, 'We are very privileged to be asked back to host the Chefs Table once again. Everything on the menu from meats to smoked chicken, to vegetables and even the water will be from Shropshire and the Marches. With the vast range of excellent quality suppliers in our region, we have been spoilt for choice. We welcome new and returning customers to this stunning setting.'
James continued, 'Although this is gourmet dining, we will keep the prices very affordable so diners can enjoy fresh, quality local produce, but served quickly so they can return to the Festival, enabling them to help themselves from a wide range of freshly prepared main courses served buffet-style. For just £10 for as much as they like, and for those with a little extra space or a sweet tooth, we also offer local puds, or a fantastic local cheese board, with contributions from Mr Moyden's Cheeses, and Brock Hall Farm Goats Cheeses in Bridgnorth, and coffees and teas, all for just an additional £5.'
